For me it’s always a minute or more at my alter, the scratching of the match, a candle, and three breaths in and out with my eyes close. 🤍
Also I’ve been experimenting with daily writing/publishing and have found that it’s been like a kind of pendulum guiding me back to my creative voice, so I resonate with what you describe. But for me the practice only returns to part of myself not the whole which my alter practice does. New moon blessings 🌸
